Challenge
Condensing TDC Net’s digital presence into a unified platform required navigating the diverse needs and journeys of multiple user groups, each with distinct goals and expectations. The challenge was to simplify a complex ecosystem without losing critical functionality, while ensuring the experience remained clear, usable, and aligned with TDC’s evolving brand and strategic direction.
Identifying and understanding diverse user groups and their distinct journeys.
Designing a user-friendly interface for professional and technical users.
Removing outdated site functionality while preserving essential features.
Aligning the new platform with TDC’s updated brand identity and strategic goals.
Approach
The redesign followed a modular, system-driven approach, reusing and extending existing components from the CVI to accelerate development while maintaining consistency. As new pages were explored, core modules were evaluated and refined, with some components reworked to improve usability and others introduced to support new content needs.
Usability heuristics guided design decisions throughout, helping prioritise clarity, accessibility, and responsiveness. All new and updated modules were documented within the shared design system, enabling scalability and long-term maintenance, while ongoing collaboration with stakeholders ensured alignment with technical requirements and business goals.
Solution
The solution addressed the complexity of TDC Net’s enterprise portal by introducing a more coherent, task-oriented experience. A personalised user dashboard was designed to surface relevant information based on individual needs, while unified navigation connected multiple subsystems into a single, consistent experience. A shared notification system ensured users stayed informed about important updates across the platform.
To support core enterprise workflows, the platform introduced a streamlined quote request and ordering flow, quicker access to frequently used products and services through bookmarks, and a dedicated toolbox containing guides and resources. Together, these improvements reduced friction across the portal and helped transform a fragmented enterprise environment into a more intuitive and efficient digital experience.
An Interactive Data Visualisation System
A dedicated data visualisation library was developed to translate TDC Net’s Corporate Visual Identity (CVI) into a functional digital system. The focus was on maintaining trust and clarity through legible, intuitive visualisations while introducing interactive states that enhanced understanding and exploration of data. The system was designed to work consistently across platforms, including mobile, ensuring visual integrity, accessibility, and usability at different screen sizes.
